My Doll Collection
Page 5 - Purchased Dolls
The dolls on this page are just a few of the dolls in my collection that I have purchased from other artists. They are all 1/12th scale (1" = 1') porcelain dollhouse dolls. They are 5 to 5 1/2 inches tall. This graceful Victorian Miss is an all porcelain doll that I purchased from Colibri's in Dallas, Texas. This wonderful shop is no longer in business and is greatly missed. The doll costumer artist was Rosemary Tucker. I do not know who the doll artist was. If you know, will you please email me and I will add the information to this page. The first time I saw her, I fell in love with the delicate features of her face. I just had to have her for my collection. Her dress is made of fine white batiste. It has delicate white embroidered roses scattered all over the skirt. Her petticoat has row after row of gathered lace. Her parasol has an embroidered pink rose and green leaves. On her left shoulder is a delicate posy of pink silk roses. She has a tiny silver star pin at the throat of her gown. Her bonnet is also of white batiste decorated with pink silk roses and silk leaves and gathered white lace. White lace mitts adorn her graceful hands. |
